I dont know how far I will write this or how well I will write this. I have learned fro my journey that drafts are more powerful than a final article. This is a draft that I write with all it’s mistakes because I am a FAILURE.
I have googled many many times ‘‘ how to be successful’’ and I learnt that this ia the question that makes you a failure. I have failed multiple times. I have failed thrice than I won especially since I turned 16. People say that I am only 19 too young to be a writer, a dancer, an entrepreneur, a trader etc. But I thought if 19 is too young is 50 too old. Not at all who defines success and failure?
NOT SOCIETY
Don’t leave it to others to label you as a “success’’ or a ‘‘failure’’. I googled on how to be a failure and I got starategies not to fail. I have heard of a quote where APJ said that don’t learn from the life of a successful person, learn from the life of a person who failed. For the past three years, I have been struggling emotionally, financially. I started 2024 being the ultimate failure who lost everything in life. I don’t have a family where people are attached with each other, love, money or any materialistic things.
I FAILED.
But what then I rose. To everyone who reads this, I am a simple girl from society where standing for yourself is considered as a terrorism, I rose to be an entrepreneur with a Substack newsletter and a strong LinkedIn profile. I can say that I am not yet a successful entrepreneur or a suceesful writer.
Why I write this is to make you understand that you are not a failure.
You are not a failure.
Don’t label the people you love[ inclue yourself] as a failure. Things may not go as planned. You will fail but what you really need is the gut to move forward. This is what I learnt from my one year 2023 where I failed entirely.
How to be a failure?
1.Not sticking to a goal
Well, this is the major reason. I had planned to start my substack long back in 2023 but I left it thinking that it is not easy to make enough money. I don’t make money from substack but the love I get from many humble humans is more than what I need. I am so happy that I am able to write for the past one month. I am so grateful that I can do that and yes!! people read my newsletters. The only goal I sticked to is entrepreneurship. I can sense the difference now.
2.Not doing what you need to do now
There is nothing like wrong time but there is something called right time. Imagine you ate a spicy food and is searching for water; your friend calls out to say that you can drink it tomorrow. Does that make sense? So do things now. This is the mistake I made though I sticked with my goals I did not do many things at the right time . It was not because of laziness but lack of mentorship. I did not know the basics of entrepreneurship but now I am good at it. I have to understand more on it.
3.Not trusting yourself
This is the only thing I had from the beginning I trusted myself. I had doubts whether I would be able to do that but what to do I love myself so much that I know I can make it. Cheers!! you read this much. At the age of 2 I started learning classical dance. It has been 17 years. When I was five my dance teacher told me that I cannot dance and now I am a professional dancer who has danced in more than 100 stages. I started to get serious at this wanting to perform abroad has started this 2024. That is the inspiration that drives me to be an entrepreneur because I did that once and I can do that again.
Now let me tell you a simple trick to ot fail in life. This will change the whole of you.
NEVER GIVE UP
Never ever give up.
Never give up neither on yourself nor on the people who loves you. No matter what. If you never quit trust me you will never fail.
Definiton of failure is different for different people . For me it is to quit when you think you are finished. You only fail then.
I am not a failure.
I am a successful person because I am happy and at peace with myself.
‘‘I get up and smile because I got up to smile’’ - Tha
I don’t urge you to stay positive always but I urge you to never stay negative.
What according to you is success? Are you successful?
"I have failed thrice than I won especially since I turned 16." This actually appears to be a rather low failure ratio, Tha. I believe we fail more than we win, just that the magnitude of our wins end up offsetting the frequency of losses.
Doing anything new just comes with a lot of unknowns. I believe I've failed many times, at least as far as not achieving set objectives is concerned. I, like you, appreciate these failures for the lessons they gave me.
I have a strategy when it comes to failure: I identify a depth below which I wouldn't want to sink, after which all other outcomes are acceptable. I then just do the stuff I want and see where things go. Sometimes I win, many times I don't. But one thing is certain: in this game of refinement, I get to know what works and what doesn't, thus with time, I will gamble less and less.
Let's fail early, Tha; let's fail fast. If we live long enough, all this will be irrelevant in the overall scheme of things, but it'll have been helpful in knowing what not to do, and thus in essence what to zero in on.
Love this inspiring story, Tha! Thank you for sharing your wisdom.❤️
